“Ukrainian folk clothing” stamps are one of the most popular series of postal products. The colorful images of the stamps present the rich cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people.
Ukrposhta started publishing the series “Ukrainian folk clothes” in 2001. Each stamp contains a unique image of the national Ukrainian costume depending on the region of Ukraine, a certain ritual or holiday for which this costume was worn.
All stamps of the “Ukrainian folk clothing” issue were created by one artist – Mykola Kochubey.
The block was issued in 2003 and contained images of the national uniform of Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and Donetsk Oblast. On the 2004 block, he had a Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Hutsul costume.
